Fiber Spacing Material

A vulcanized fiber material used to cushion between the tang and handle material. Add one or more colored sections for contrast. This thin material will help you create an effect just right for the blade and handle material you choose.

Taper

Just what you need to make a “stacked leather” handle for your hidden tang blade. These spacers are held in place with your guard and pommel. Your handle can be finished naturally, use edge dye to darken if desired, or work with neatsfoot oil for a nice hand rubbed oil finish. Can be buffed and polished with rouge on a muslin wheel. Oval shaped, each measures approximately 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" x 1/8" thick the notch is .158" x .450" cut into the center making it very easy to slip onto the tang.
