V-Edger cutting head scores the shallow original or master groove over the pencil line or scribed mark. This slotted cutter used in either direction removes wood fast. Skip-Check (single) slotted tooth style skip one-line produces rabbit-track (French) pattern and is made in 60° so that the work can be finished using other cutters in angle of choice. Complete for the professional or hobbiest gun stock maker. It will do the job from start to finish and is a balanced combination of the fast cutting slotted as well as finishing cutters. Inclusion of the Veiner tool is very handy for those fancy borders and tight curving lines. The 3-Edge Spacer included is for equalizing the checkering rows, assuring a more accurate pattern. The Camp Perry Set includes 6 tools (handles with cutters): 2-Edge Spacer, 3-Edge Spacer, Border-Vex, V-Edger, Pointer-Long (fine cut), Veiner Chisel, Checker-Gage Rule, Instructions and Sample Pattern Layout Designs. Jointer and Spacer tools are 60°, V-Edger and Pointer-Long single line tools are 90°.

Veiner (chisel) has a short tool steel blade with palm fitting handle. It provides excellent control cutting action when held at a steep angle. Perfect for clean-up to borders as well as producing ornate single line borders. Made of hi-carbon tool steel, it will hold the sharp edge ground and honed ready for use. 60° or 90°

Pointer-Long finishing type, fine cut is used to point the diamonds formed by the intersecting rows. The fine cut 90° is normally supplied in the Checkering Sets. Fine, Medium, 60° or 90° Pointer (short) file type, fine cut is used for short radius single-line bordered and deepening patterns with ornamented sections such as fleur-de-lis, darts, etc. The cutter is supplied in the shank for a pull-stroke motion cutting away from the border. 60° or 90°

Handles are made in three styles. H1 has a "see-thru" offset and is supplied on the S2, S3, S4, K, KL, KR factory assembled tools. H2 has a straight shank supplied on the VE, PL, BV and BC tools. H3 with a sharp bend is used to hold the short cornering PS cutter. H1 and H2 handles can be used with all cutters except the Pointer Shorts.
