3M Micro-Finish Film is a fast cutting abrasive for precise, uniform, close-tolerance finishing. High strength polyester film backing and micron graded aluminum oxide mineral resin is bonded for durability. The particles are electro-statically charged so all particle points are going in the same direction. This process increases the precision of the belt. This material is ideal for: tool and die work, gunsmithing, jewelry making, watch repair and medical devices. This material works well on both metal and plastic. Spring loaded tension keeps the sanding belts firmly in place & allows for quick belt rotating or changing. The tapered end, flat side and rounded end add to the versatility of the sanding detailer. Both Coarse and Fine kits has a belt on each stick along with 5 replacement belts for each of the grits included. The tools and belts are color coded for easy grit identification. Fine Micron Sanding Detailer has one Orange-15 micron, one Yellow-14 micron, one White-12 micron and one Blue-9 micron.
